Amazon has launched an investigation into the conduct of its authorized representatives in India following a criticism from a whistleblower who alleged that a number of of the corporate’s reps had bribed authorities officers, Indian information and evaluation outlet the Morning Context reported on Monday.
The corporate is investigating whether or not authorized charges financed by it was used for bribing authorities officers, the report stated, which cited unnamed sources and didn’t determine authorities officers. In an announcement to TechCrunch, an Amazon spokesperson stated the corporate has “zero tolerance” for corruption.
